F2F · Farm to food
Most food brands stitch together a miller, a baker and a packer in three towns. Mae Foods runs the whole chain in one unit in Karur Industrial Area — which is why we can answer for every batch that leaves the door.
Step 01
Millet, ginger, turmeric and potato come in from farms across the Davanagere belt — a short, traceable supply line rather than an anonymous commodity market.
Step 02
Grain is cleaned, milled and blended on site. Flour, flakes and powders are made to the spec of the line they feed, not bought in pre-mixed.
Step 03
Cookies, biscuits and premix batches run through a world-class baking machinery setup — the part of the plant we invested in first.
Step 04
Finished goods are packed to food-industry hygiene standards, in retail units or bulk formats depending on the buyer.
Step 05
Out to retailers, bakeries, distributors and institutional buyers — with a GST-registered proprietorship and a verified trade record behind the invoice.
Why buyers stay
Consistency matters more than novelty when your name goes on the pack. Here is what the facility is set up to guarantee.
Milling, baking and packing sit under a single roof, so a batch never leaves our control between raw grain and sealed pack.
The baking line is the centrepiece of the unit — the reason we can hold texture and bake colour across repeat orders.
The plant is run to food-industry hygiene practice throughout, and customers consistently call out how clean the product comes through.
Millet is the material we know best. That expertise is what the cookie, biscuit and premix lines are built around.
Small retail packs and institutional bulk formats run off the same line, so pilot orders can scale without changing supplier.
The people behind it
Mae Foods is a proprietorship run by Sanjay Kumbar, who studied at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Germany before setting up the unit at Karur Industrial Area. The plan was never to be a trading house — it was to own every stage from grain to pack, and to build millet products that stand up to supermarket shelves.
Freshly baked, hygienically made, and grown close to home — that is the whole proposition.
